Description
The United States Marshals Service, District of South Carolina, plans to procure medical care for Federal prisoners being housed in local contract jails but requiring hospital treatment in the Spartanburg and Columbia areas to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, 101 E Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303 and Palmetto Health Alliance, PO Box 2266, Columbia, SC 29202. The period of the services will be for the period of October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005. Contractors shall on the basis of oral and/or written notification, furnish medical services to Federal prisoners at Medicare rates. The United States Marshals Service also intends to procure pharmaceutical needs from Prison Health Services (PHS), Inc., 105 Westpark Drive, Suite 200, Brentwood, TN 37027, Neighborcare, 3203 W. Palmetto St, Florence SC 29501, and Dept AT 40323, Atlanta, GA 31192-0323, and Diamond Drugs, 645 Ketter Drive, Indiana, PA 15701. Vendors agree to provide pharmaceutical needs at or below its most favored customer's rates . In no case shall the price be higher than 37% of the discount price in the catalog/list prices of each item ordered. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals; however, if any other interested party believes it can meet the requirements, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the United States Marshals Service to determine if the party can meet the requirements. Offers must also be accompanied by descriptive literature, warranties, and/or other information that demonstrates the offer meets all the above requirements. Capability statements and related materials must be received in this office by September 13, 2004 at 5:00 pm. If you have any questions, please contact Brenda Strickland by FAX at (803) 765-5824.
