Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated. The solicitation number is W91ZRS-04-R-0019 and is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). SIC code is 2394, NAICS code is 314912, with size s tandard of 500 Employees. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-24. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The offeror must state their bu siness size in their offer. The Connecticut Army National Guard requires the manufacture and installation of 14 roll-down, curtain type siding on an outdoor, pavilion at Camp Rell, 38 Smith St, Niantic, CT., 06357. The pavilion is approximately 100 X 48 and has metal support columns and soffit. Curtains will be a clear, see-through vinyl material. Curtain borders will be fire resistant acrylic material. The clear vinyl panel will be sewn in so that the borders are 12 inches to 16 inches wide. Color o f the material surrounding the clear vinyl will be selected by the Government from an earth tone color selection provided by the successful bidder. Curtains will be hung from the main carrying beam and will extend vertically to the concrete pad and hori zontally to approximately the center of each supporting column. Fabric used will be treated so as to be mildew resistant and guaranteed for 5 years against fading. Curtains will be operated by a gear and hand brace system mounted around the outside perim eter of the carrying beam. To provide stability a 1 inch to 1 ? inch metal pipe will be sewn into the bottom portion of the curtain. When in the rolled down position the curtains will be secured to cleats on the lower portion of the column. All seams w ill be double-stitched. Thread being of a UV resistant type. All metal parts will be either galvanized or stainless steel. Each panel will be installed so as to facilitate removal and installation by Agency personnel. As an alternate, please provide, a s a separate line item, a bid which reflects the use of gortex material and thread.
