Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates award of five (5) year Firm Fixed Price Commercial type contract. The requirement is for Telecommunication services at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI-3) Butner, North Carolina. Telecommunication service for the local dailing area (ISDN-PRI Service or voice T-1) shall be available for testing on a date provided in the solicitation. The telecommunications requirements shall be provided in a manner consistent with the services noted in the Statement of Requirements. To support the voice, data and video services the contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, and labor to : Install provision one (1) ISDN-PRI 23B plus 1D (or voice T-1) for local telephone access. Install able infrastructure to support following services. (Services are to be installed by the current FTS providers. This is general guideline. One (1) Long distance ISDN-PRI or voice T-1 (FTS service Verizon is the current carrier). Two (2) Data T-1s for JCN (computer service) access. Six (6) voice T-1s for Inmate Telephone System (ITS). Two Data T-1s for UNICOR (if required by local mission). The minimum acceptance cable installation will include a 100 pair copper communication cable and 24 strand optic cable, installed to the FCI-3 Coleman. In the event local ISDN-PRI Service is not available in the local dialing area, the contractor shall submit options for providing the service. This is not a request for quotation. The solicitation should be released on or about September 17, 2004. Faith-based and community Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
