The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, maintains a database of healthcare professionals' credentials. This database is known as VetPro and is the primary source for banking, tracking and verifying credentials of the VA physicians, dentists and other credentialed providers. VetPro has been in production since March 1, 2001. VetPro is designed to reduce resource utilization through an ability to use technology and data where possible as well as share verified credentials. This Proposal is for specialty and subspecialty board certification data from an authorized listing of the American Board of Medical Specialists for electronic verification match of these certifications. Vendors must be ABMS-approved vendors for compliance with JCAHO Accreditation Standards. Offerors will be required to provide documentation that they are ABMS-approved as an _Official Display Agent_ in order to participate in this procurement. The contract is firm-fixed price. If your organization can provide the services sought by VA, please forward a capabilities statement to Sophia Hurt (049A3C) at the sophia.hurt@mail.va.gov or Department of Veterans Affairs, Acquisition Operations Service (049A3), 810 Vermont Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20420. The solicitation will be available for issue on September 8, 2004, with offers due on or about September 21, 2004. Request for the solicitation may be sent by email at sophia.hurt@mail.va.gov.
