- Description
- Pursuant to authority of 44 U.S.C. 2112 (a) and Public Law 89-169, the National Archives and Records Administration intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the University of Michigan for Consolidated Facilities Management at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library, 1000 Beal Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2114. The Library is located within the university grounds and the building is owned by the University with perpetual use granted to the National Archives to operate the facility as a Presidential archival depository. Under the terms of the agreement of July 31, 1978, the University is responsible for maintenance of the building. The Library is a part of the University physical plant and mechanical support from the University?s main distribution system. Period of the contract will be October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005, with four (4) additional one (1) year options. The government has determined that there is only one responsible source.
