- Description
- 17. The U.S. Coast Guard (CG) intends to award a sole source contract to Guidance Software, Inc. of Sterling, VA for EnCase Enterprise Forensic Edition Software. The CG requires a forensics platform and framework for its Computer Information Systems (ISS). The period of performance for the supplies is ninety (90) days from date of award. The contractor shall provide the required software, installation, training, operations, maintenance, and consulting services as related to the EnCase Enterprise Forensics Edition Software. Guidance Software, Inc. is the exclusive developer and only source for the EnCase Enterprise Edition Forensic Examiners Software, and has no resellers of their proprietary product. It is considered that no other vendor can provide this software. Offerors who can furnish the same item listed above may submit, in writing, a quote substantiated by technical data, brochures, pictures, etc., to include pricing data. Specifications relating to this procurement are not available and cannot be provided by the Government. All responses must be received within 10 calendar days of the Fed BizOps notice, addressed to Commandant (G-ACS-1A/YB), Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, 2100 Second Street, SW, Room 5222, Washington, DC 20593-0001, Attn: Yolanda Bell. No telephone requests will be accepted. There is no solicitation available. The solicitation will be prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be available for release to Guidance Software, Inc. on or about September 14, 2004. All responses submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. ***** NOTICE TO OFFERORS?SOLICITATION OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM It is the policy of the Coast Guard to issue solicitations and make contract awards in a fair and timely manner.
