Description

*****Solicitation SB1341-04-Q-0799 is hereby amended in order to modify Physical Characteristics specification in section 3.1. The following specification is hereby changed FROM: Physical Characteristics: The following specifications ensure that the beryllium block can be mounted as a mechanical body without shedding toxic parts. - Ultimate tensile strength shall be greater than 50 kpsi; - Yield strength (0.2 percent offset) shall be greater than 35 kpsi; - No cracks are permissible; - Largest dimension of any mark on the surface shall be less than 1.5 mm; - Number of surface marks with size between 0.015 mm and 1.5 mm shall be less than 4 per 25 cm squared; TO: The following specifications ensure that the beryllium block can be mounted as a mechanical body without shedding toxic parts. - Ultimate tensile strength shall be greater than 45 kpsi; - Yield strength (0.2 percent offset) shall be greater than 30 kpsi; - No cracks are permissible; - Largest dimension of any mark on the surface shall be less than 1.5 mm; - Number of surface marks with size between 0.015 mm and 1.5 mm shall be less than 4 per 25 cm squared. *****The due date for quotes is September 7, 2004 5:00 pm EST. EMAILED QUOTATIONS SHALL BE ACCEPTED AS LONG AS THEY ARE RECEIVED IN THEIR ENTIRETY BY THE 5:00 PM EST DEADLINE. QUOTATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINE SHALL BE DEEMED LATE AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD. FAXED QUOTATIONS SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED. ***** ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS SHALL REMAIN UNCHANGED AND IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.*****
