FOB Origin. These items are restricted to The Boeing Company, Boeing Helicopter, CAGE Code: 77272. Twenty-six (26) part numbers require engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). One (1) part number is restricted because the data needed to procure this part competitively is not physically available; it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications. Four (4) part numbers are restricted because manufacture of the parts require use of master or coordinated tooling and cannot be made ava ilable to another source for manufacture of the parts. Two (2) part numbers are restricted because the rights to use the data needed to purchase the parts from additional source(s) are not owned by the Government and cannot be purchased, developed or otherwise obtained. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the websi te www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under CAPSAR and Policy Relating to Source Approval Request (SAR) for Aviation Requirements. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an e stimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
