Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District requires a contract for raising the dike surrounding Area 2 in Savannah Harbor. Silts and sands from within the area will be used for the construction. Weirs and ladders will be extended and insta llation of new Safety Climbs required. Removal of existing Catwalks and installation of Government provided Catwalks will also be required. Removal of vegetation, ditching and dewatering will be required before sediments can be used for dike construction . Geotextile fabric may be required to support the dikes.
