Description

The VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR Part 6.302 to a firm by the name of Powerware Global Services, for preventive and emergency maintenance for the uninterruptible power supply and sealed battery system at the Nashville Campus. Powerware provides all labor, material, equipment and parts (excluding batteries) required to perform preventive and emergency maintenance to the following listed equipment : Two each Powerware (Exide) UPS Model Plus 80. UPS Sealed Battery System Maintenance Inspection to be performed annually in March. This contract specifications require factory trained technician service. This will be a TVHS procurement, for the Nashville Campus. The intended contract will be for base period plus 4 optional one-year periods. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties that believe they can meet these needs with an equal product must furnish sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements no later than 2:00pm, September 20, 2004. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses received will be reviewed however; a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, TVHS will proceed with a sole source procurement with Powerware Global Services. Email or fax your questions to the attention of Kara Parsley.
