Description

The 37th Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source contract to Data Security Inc., Lincoln NE for one HD-1T Degausser in accordance with FAR Part 6.302 and FAR 13.5. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15 and DFARS Change Notice 20030722. North American Industry Classification System Code 334419 and Size Standard not to exceed 500 employees apply to this procurement. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. The anticipated award date is 23 Sep 04. Contractors will submit quotes for the following item: CLIN 0001, Data Security HD-1T Media Degausser, P/N 951-0000. Price includes shipping, a 1-year maintenance agreement, and two certifications. This degausser must meet DoD specifications for purging classified/sensitive information from hard disk media up to 4,200 Oersteds including floppy disks, zip disks, jazz disks, and hard disk drives without removing the disk platters. The degausser must also meet DoD specifications for purging all classified/sensitive information from tape media up to 2,500 Oersteds including DLT III, DLT IV, Super DLT, LTO, 8mm, DDS1, DDS2, DDS3, DDS4, and VHS. In addition, the degausser must be listed in the National Security Agency (NSA) Approved Degausser Products List (DPL) as meeting these requirements. It must accept hard drives to 1 inch high by 4 inches wide by 5.8 inches long. For questions regarding this acquisition, email them to oscar.fernandez@lackland.af.mil. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be the most advantageous to the Government, price, past performance, and other factors considered. The clause at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation and the offeror must include a completed copy of this provision with their quote. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. Specifically, the following clauses cited are applicable to this solicitation: FAR 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity; FAR 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; FAR 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers; FAR 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era. The clause at DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders applicable to Defense Acquisition of Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. Specifically, the following clauses cited, are applicable to this solicitation: DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The provision at FAR 52.215-1, Instructions to Offerors--Competitive Acquisitions applies to this solicitation. All quoters wishing to submit a quotation are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). FOB: Destination.
