Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR FAC 2001-20. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and is issued as a Request for Quotation. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Solicitation Number is FA4809-04-Q-0435. The NAICS code 337215 applies to this solicitation. The size standard is 500 employees. The item description is as follows: STATEMENT OF WORK 1. The work covered by this specification consists of purchasing 90 double tier lockers that measure 6 feet high by 2 feet wide by 2 feet deep. Purchase will provide 180 personnel lockers with doors, bottoms, tops, backs, and divider shelves with the below specifications: a. All frames, dividers, and angle stiffeners shall be punched with slotted holes for anchoring and assembly. Woven wire mesh shall be securely welded to all frames. b. Door panels shall be framed in 1 ??? x 1 ?? x 1/8? hot rolled angle and pre-hung at the factory. Single tier doors will have a single horizontal stiffener bar of 1/4? x 3/4? flat behind the mesh. All doors supplied with door strikes, padlock hasp, and 2 ?? x 2 ?? spun-pin hinges welded into place. c. Wall panels shall be framed on three sides with 1 ?? x 1 ? ? x 1/8? steel angle and a 1/8? x 3? steel flat bar completes the frame. Double tier lockers will be equipped with horizontal stiffeners which support divider panels. d. Woven wire mesh shall be made of .135 10 gauge C1008 carbon steel wire intercrimped and woven into 1? x 2? opening rectangular mesh. e. The backs shall be 22 gauge galvanized sheet metal. f. Dividers and bottoms shall be made of 16 gauge sheet metal, 1/4? x 3/4? steel stiffeners shall be welded across the width of each for extra support. One divider will be provided with each double tier unit. g. Tops shall be constructed of the same materials as the door panels. h. Standard 3/8? grade 2 plated nuts and bolts will be supplied for assembly. 3/8? mechanical anchors for wall and floor mounts will also be supplied.
