Description

The Government has a requirement for the testing, qualification and final delivery of software for the Heads Up Display (HUD) system developed in conjunction with the Brownout Situational Awareness Upgrade (BSAU) under contract W91CRB-04-C-0041. Thi s effort will be solicitated as Sole Source to Elbit Systems Limited, (Elbit or ESL) Haifa, Israel, through their US subsidiary, EFW Inc., Ft. Worth, TX. Only ESL has the requisite knowledge of both the design of the HUD and the DAY Display Unit used as p art of the initial proposed solution to situational awareness improvements during flights in degraded visual environments. ESL was the contractor chosen to develop the software under W91CRB-04-C-0041 as they had the only known day display unit compatible with the HUD system.
