- Description
- Voyage charter of U.S. or foreign flag self-sustaining vessel or vessels with 60,000 sq. ft. capacity either individually or in combination. Offers which do not fulfill the entire 60,000 square feet on their will only be considered when they can be combined with other offers, which also do not meet the 60,000 on their own. Vessel(s) shall have equipment to facilitate RO/RO and LO/LO operations. Vessel(s) shall be capable of lifting a minimum of 35 short tons in one lift. Vessel(s) shall provide lashing gear. Maximum vessel draft is 19 ft. In accordance with Section IIIA.3 of the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) (see 69 FEDERAL REGISTER 25166-25168, May 5, 2004), preference will be given to VISA participants.Offerors may download a copy of the RFP by going to http://www.msc.navy.mil, under Contracts, then Active Request For Proposal (RFP/RFQ) Search.
