- Description
- The U. S. Postal Service (USPS) hereby solicits for emergency services to be performed in the foreign countries as defined in Part 1 of this solicitation. We anticipate one or multiple contract awards. Proposals must offer a firm-fixed price, all-inclusive for the transportation of mail from the origin to the destination by charter aircraft and all terminal handling activities at the origin and destination. This is a definite quantity contract type and a negotiated commercial procurement as defined in the US Postal Service?s Purchasing Manual, Issue 3 available on the Internet at www.usps.com/purchasing. We anticipate daily flights, by charter aircraft, to operate as proposed and based on the average daily volume in kilos of mail per flight as shown in Exhibit 1.1. The contract term will begin on or about October 11, 2004 and end on April 10, 2005 (Eastern Standard Time) EST.
