Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center,San Juan,Puerto Rico intends to award a commercial item(FAR Part 12) Brand Name or Equal (Far 52.211-6)for the WINCO droparm chairs.This is a combined synopsis/solicitation forCommercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR),Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.This chairs must be provided with the following features;three positions, convalescent recliner with tb133 fire rating,both arms can be lowered,increased ease in transfers,built-in head rest,left and right arm drop to aid in transfers, wide armrest slopes down to give forearm correct support in recline and semi-recline position,wrap-around scuff guards,overall height 46",overall width 26_, depth 21.75_,seat width 19_,weight capacity 275 lbs.The Company must be specific on warranties, installation,training services and any other requirements for this equipment. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number is RFQ 672-378-04. FAR 52.212-Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Jan 2004),52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items,Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular(FAC)(June 2004).(May 2004), 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items (Oct 2004),FAR 52.2 1 2-5 Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items (June 2004), Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Status or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, Far52.247-64 Preference for privately Owned U.S.-Flag Commercial Vessels are applicable clauses.The Government will award to the lowest technically acceptable proposal.The proposal must be evaluated as technically acceptable for each of the requirement listed above. Technical acceptability will be determined solely on the content and merit of theinformation submitted in response to this solicitation the "Equal" for the Service evaluation and decision.This is a combine synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in acoordance with the format in FAR 5.207, Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposal are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Delivery Terms: FOB Destination (Door to Door)(Oct 1984)52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer.The Contractor shall deliver the chairs within 30 days or less from the date of contract award to Department of Veterans Affairs V A Medical Center, Warehouse loading Dock Area;10 Calle Casia,San Juan, Puerto Rico 00921-3201.Inspection and acceptance shall be made at destination by the Government.FAR 46.709 Warranty of Commecial items -TheContractor shall extend to the government full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale. Acceptance of the warranty does not waive the Government's rights under the Inspection clause, nor does it limit the Government's rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of this contract.
