- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement, DG133C-04-RQ-0308, constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate solicitation will not be issued. Award will be for a Firm-Fixed Price Contract, one-time buy, ?brand name? basis. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), requires the acquisition of a Storage Area Network (SAN) for its office in Silver Spring, MD and intends to purchase the following; SAN storage system ? -1.8 TB of Fiber Channel disk drives which consists of fifteen drives inside of a single enclosure, with four 2 Gbps Fiber Channel host ports. Drives and redundant power supplies are to be hot swappable. Rack mount hardware is required. Same Day 4-Hour 7x24 Parts and Labor On-Site with Engineer Support for 3 Years. -12 TB of ATA Hard disk drives in a 2Gbps Fiber Channel storage system inside no more than three enclosures for the total storage. Rack mount hardware is required. Same Day 4-Hour 7x24 Parts and Labor On-Site with Engineer Support for 3 Years. -SAN Software is to include same Day 4-Hour 7x24 Parts and Labor On-Site with Engineer Support for 3 Years. -SAN Management Suite - To manage, discover, monitor, and configure the SAN from a Web browser. To be used with other applications for storage resource, network, and device management across a multi-vendor storage environment. -Snap Shot Software ? To do backup and recovery through disk-based "instant restore" of production data. To creates point-in-time snapshots and full-copy business continuance volumes (clones) of production data for non-disruptive backup. Be able to restore applications and data. -Path Management Software - Provides multiple path I/O capabilities, automatic load balancing, path failover, and logical volume management functions for four servers. Three of the servers are listed below, the forth is for futures. -Two 24 Port 2 Gbps Fiber Channel Switches with 16 Licenses. -Installation is to be included. Rack mount hardware is required. Same Day 4-Hour 7x24 Parts and Labor On-Site with Engineer Support for 3 Years. -LTO-2 Tape Library with six LTO-2 tape drives, with room for 72 LTO Ultrium cartridges in a rack mount configuration. To include a 2 Gbps fiber channel router with two fiber channel ports, a barcode scanner and installation. Same Day 4-Hour 7x24 Parts and Labor On-Site with Engineer Support for 3 Years. -LTO-2 Tape Library with one LTO-2 tape drive, with room for 24 LTO-2 Ultrium cartridges in a rack mount configuration. To include a 2 Gbps fiber channel router, and a barcode scanner and installation. Two Power Distribution Units are to be included. - Veritas NetBackup Software for a Windows SAN environment to include the SAN above, the Fiber Channel tape libraries listed above and the three file servers listed above with 3 years of 24x7 support and media. NetBackup Enterprise, Windows Server, V5. NetBackup Enterprise, Windows SAN Media Server, V5. NetBackup Enterprise, Cross-Platform Library Based Tape Drive Support, V5.0. NetBackup Enterprise, Cross-Platform Shared Storage Option, V5.0. NetBackup Enterprise, Windows Open File Option, V5.0. - All equipment is to be 120 Volts. - Installation for SAN and SAN Software is to be included. - Power and Fiber Channel cables are to be included. - Inside Delivery -Delivery terms for this shall be within 30 days. The purchase order will include provisions and clauses in effect at time of award. The provisions and clauses may be downloaded at http://www.arnet.gov/far. The following provisions and clauses shall apply: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1) technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement and 2) price. Offerors must include a completed copy of Offeror Representations and Certifications, FAR 52.212-3, along with the offer. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items and FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration; 52.222-26 apply to this acquisition.
