Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issues. This solicitation F8ABWC41290100 is a Request for Quote. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through the issue date of the solicitation. NAICS Code 423620. Performance Period: 15 consecutive days. Request quote to purchase, deliver and install commercial stove, refrigerator and dish sanitizer in Building 946, Child Development Center West, at Robins Air Force Base, in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. RESPONSE TIME: COB 23-September-2004. BUYER: Jywanya Smith, (478) 926-5106. SCOPE OF WORK- To purchase, deliver, and install commercial stove, refrigerator and dish sanitizer to Bldg 946, Child Development Center West. Construction, materials and design should be according to accepted industry standards for commercial applications. Cost to include furnishing of all labor, parts, tools, materials, transportation and installation necessary. Contractor is responsible for ensuring that equipment is compatible with the existing power supply and can be transported through the existing door(s) in the facility. Site visit is strongly recommended to ensure that equipment will meet the needs of the users and can be installed in the space provided. PREPARATION AND INSTALLATION- Contractor may not remove any items/appliances from kitchen area without express written permission from the contracting officer. Any alterations or structural changes to existing property must be repaired/replaced to original condition. Approval to work weekends or evenings to complete project in a timely manner is granted if weekend or evening work is at no additional cost. Total project must be completed within 15 consecutive days. LOCATION- Child Development Center West, Bldg 946. WORK DAY- Contractor may complete the work required within a regular, Monday - Friday, weekday work schedule (0630 - 1800). Requests for dates/times to work weekends and evenings to complete project in a timely manner must be approved in advance. Completion of contract and full/final payment contingent upon final approval from Robins Air Force Base Wing Safety Office. SET-UP/BREAKDOWN- Contractor may set up as early as 0700 at the beginning of the project. The contractor agrees to remove all equipment and tools and police the area at the conclusion of the project. No hazardous materials or conditions will be left unattended at the work site at any time. LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO THE AREA- Contractor is to ensure area is not damaged in the installation and area is left clean and free from trash upon completion. Area disturbed by the contractor will be returned to original conditions. ELECTRICITY- Contractor will have access to standard electrical outlets located on the exterior or interior of the building. Generators are to be supplied by the contractor for any additional power supply needs. SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION- The equipment, materials, and labor practices shall adhere to OSHA requirements. All safety measures must be taken to prevent accidents. INSURANCE- Contractor must maintain commercial liability insurance covering provisions of the services being rendered and worker?s compensation insurance within the limits of the law. Upon timely request, provide the NAFI with certificate of insurance. WORKERS- Workers must be employees of the contractor and fully trained to operate all machinery. Proof of employment must be shown if requested by NAFI. SECURITY- Contractor shall obtain all necessary badges and passes for contractor?s employees and vehicles from Security Forces, located in Bldg 263, before the commencement of set-up. EQUIPMENT LIST- COMMERCIAL STOVE AND OVEN with four cooking eyes that are nine inches in diameter. Stovetop should have 36 inches of flat cooking area (griddle surface). Unit should be a maximum of 62 inches wide and 32 inches long to fit into existing space. Oven should have two doors with 50/50 split for cooking area. Electrical requirements for current unit is 208-volt, single phase with a 50-amp breaker. DISH SANITIZER should have a 24x24x24-inch cabinet for holding dishes and include a heavy-duty garbage disposal with washing wand. Electrical requirement for the current unit is 3 phase with a 30-amp breaker. REFRIGERATOR/COOLER should have maximum dimensions of 52-inches in length by 64-inches in height by 37-inches wide to fit into existing space. It should also have removable and adjustable shelves. Four separate doors are needed for easy access to all items. Electrical requirements for the current unit are 120-volt with a 20-amp breaker.
