Description

This modification provides the following clarification to the announcement for Architect/Engineering Design Services for the Everett M. Dirksen U.S. Courthouse. During the Stage I evaluation, only information on the A/E Design Firm and the Lead Designer(s) is required. Change the Stage I evaluation criteria #2 to read: (2) LEAD DESIGNER?S PORTFOLIO (25%): The Lead Designer shall each submit 8 X 10 inch graphics (maximum of three per project) and a written description (maximum of one per page per project) of three (3) relevant projects each completed within the last ten years directly attributable to the Lead Designer(s). Narrative shall include a discussion of design challenges and solutions and be a good indicator of how well the Lead Designer worked with a sensitive and important client. The sample relevant projects shall clearly demonstrate sensitive design treatment of mid-20th century heritage buildings. The narrative shall address design approach and salient features for each project (including evidence where possible such as certificates, awards, and peer recognition) and discuss how historic preservation (if any) and design constraints were satisfied by the design solution. All other information in the original announcement remains the same. The due date and time for proposals remains unchanged. Proposals are due no later than October 4, 2004 by 2:00 P.M. (Central Time).
