ISSUE DATE: September 15, 2004 POSTED DATE: September 15, 2004 TITLE: Notice of Intent to Procure Sole Source SOL: RFQ10N3-246-04 DUE: 9/20/04 NAICS: 532120 POP STATE: Not specified AGENCY: Attn: Department of Veterans Affairs NY Harbor Medical Center POC: Greg Vogt DESCRIPTION: This is a notice of intent of the NY Harbor VA Medical Center, 179th St. & Linden Blvd., St. Albans, NY to negotiate sole source with Hub Truck Rental Corp., located at 94 Gazza Blvd., Faremingdale, NY 11735. Hub Truck Rental Corp., shall provide immediate in-shop service for any repairs and replacement vehicle for any vehicle which cannot be serviced or repaired within a reasonable amount of time. Complete maintenance includes parts, labor, lubrication, oil changes, unlimited tire repairs, towing service, 24 hour emergency road service, etc. Maintenance shall be in accordance with all contract terms and conditions. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302 (6.302-2,(ii) (A)) And FAR Part 15. The authority cited and justification made is based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by the equipment available from one source. One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. NAICS code is 532120, size standard is $21.5 million. Solicitation packages are not available and telephone requests will not be honored. This notice is for information only and may represent the only official notice of such solicitation. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
