- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and hard copies will not be issued. A site visit is scheduled for 21 Sep 04 at 9:00 am. Meeting location is the AMARC Irvington gate located at Kolb and Irvington Rd. All prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. (II) Solicitation FA4877-04-Q-0606 is being issued as a request for proposal. (III) This solicitation incorporates clauses and provisions in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 01-07. (IV) This requirement is being synopsized as a small business set-aside under standard industrial classification code 1711, NAICS Code 238220, small business size standard of 12 million dollars. (V) DESCRIPTION: Project includes, but not limited to, the following work elements: The Contractors shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials, services, and incidentals to provide a complete and usable end product. No alterations, additions, or deletions shall be made unless by prior written approval of the Contracting Officer and (AMARC) Facility Management. Under no circumstances may the Contractor begin any work prior to receiving Notice-to-Proceed. All work must meet or exceed acceptable industry standards and codes for the building trades; and shall be installed in a neat substantial and workmanlike manner, to the satisfaction of the Contracting Officer and (AMARC) Facility Management. Air Conditioning Unit to be installed in computer room Bldg. 7328. 1. Purchase A/C Unit equal to the capacity of existing unit and maintain the same efficient air temperature quality (Unit should be a split system and each portion needs to be replaced, both evaporator & condenser). 2. This unit will be designed/installed to serve as the main A/C unit for the computer room. 3. Evaporator, condenser and any other portion of the unit will be located in the exact same location as existing system (Space saving style unit is a must due to limited space). 4. Replace existing cooper lines between units and properly pressure test system to ensure no leaks are in system 5. Unit needs to be one with minimal penetrations (use existing penetrations for replacement parts is highly recommended) in order to meet security requirements 6. Request price to show price break down on unit with humidifier and one w/o humidifier 7. Unit will have shut off safety & alarm device incase of too much condensation build up 8. Unit must operate with a low operational sound level 9. High and low-pressure safety switches, liquid line filter drier, and cabinet lock out protection is required 10. Unit will have a manual/automatic programmable thermostat unit 11. Contractor will provide written warranty on material and workmanship General Notes: 1. AMARC will assist Base Contracting with overseeing project 2. All parts and labor (electrical runs, connections, etc) will be inclusive of quoted price 3. All work shall be accomplished between the hours of 0700 and 1500 hours, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise approved in by Base Contracting and AMARC Facility Office. 4. Provide work schedule to Base Contracting and AMARC Facility Office before start of work. 5. The entire AMARC area is an area requiring control entry access and badges will be acquired through the Base Contracting and AMARC Security Manager. 6. Provide drawing, sketches, diagrams, schematics and warranties to Facility Office. 7. No asbestos-containing materials may be used or installed in this work. 8. All work shall meet applicable city, state and federal regulations. 9. Work site shall remain secure after work hours. 10. Work area will be left clean and free of all debris. (VI) Place of delivery: Building 7328 AMARC. (VII)F.O.B. POINT IS DESTINATION. (VIII) Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors- Commercial Items applies. (IX) Provision 52-212-2, Evaluation _ Commercial Items applies. Proposal will be evaluated on price. (X) Offerors are required to submit a completed copy of 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications- Commercial Items with their offer. (XI) Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items and any addenda the clause applies to this acquisition.
