Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. All American Institute of Physics on-line journals; All American Physical Society on-line journals; Astronomical Journal and Astrophysical Journal and supplement (on-line); Optical Society of America, Optics Infobase (on-line); Journal of the Acoustical Society of America (print and on-line); American Journal of Physics (print or on-line); Journal of Rheology (print and on-line); and Institute of Physics, package Z. One year subscription commencing January 2 005. Subject publications are available from American Institute of Physics (AIP) or a third party vendor. However, purchase from a third party vendor would incur significant additional cost, which would not likely be off-set through competition. The pro posed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement o r submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 28 September 2004 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract ba sed upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
