- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to Congressional Quarterly (CG) on Congress, Inc., 1414 22nd Street, NW, Washington, D.C. SSA requires legislative tracking services for the purposes of obtaining complete up-to-date information on all phases of congressional activity. Simplified acquisition procedures using FAR Part 12 acquisition of commercial items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition will be used for this requirement. The contractor shall provide unlimited usage of congressional services for FY 2005 to include: CQ Bill Track, CQ Bill Watch, Bill Text, Bill Comparison, CRS Bill Digests, Congressional Record, CQ Member Profiles, CQ Committee Coverage, CQ Schedules, Committee Reports (Enhanced Government Document Package), Congressional Transcripts, CQ House Action Reports, CQ Weekly On-Line, CQ Daily Monitor News Online, Senate Watch, CQ Archives, CQ Alerts, Additional PDF Daily Monitor in PDF version (2). Additional Logons (2), CQ Budget Tracker, CQ Homeland Security, Congressional Testimony, Newsmaker Transcripts, Federal Register. Congressional Quarterly Inc. is the only known sources capable of meeting the above requirements and providing timely delivery. This not a competitive request for quotation or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, but merely notification of the Government?s intent to procure legislative tracking services from Congressional Quarterly, Inc. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited or received. Responses must provide sufficient information for SSA to determine that a firm other than Congressional Quarterly can provide the data as described above. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of information received. If SSA does not receive an acceptable response to this announcement within 3 days of its publication, SSA will issue a purchase order to Congressional Quarterly.
