Description

This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures (Reference FAR Part 12 and 13). 45 CONS/LGCBB has a requirement for underground cable 15KV 350 MCM, underground Okonite Okoguard-Okoseal shielded power cable, one okopact (compact stranded) copper conductor/105C rating, 133% insulation level, strand screen-extruded semi conducting ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) insulation-Okoguard EPR insulation screen-extruded, semi conducting EPR shield-copper tape outer jacket consist of Okoseal. Reels will be shipped with wood lagging, which will protect the cable during shipping. The Okonite Company part number is MV-105 (Wood lagging included 3 X 64-? NRR). The required quantity is 6 reels. Each reel should be 640?. This is a brand name or equal commercial acquisition. The product should be received at Patrick Air Force Base not later than 30 days after receipt of a purchase order. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. This proposed procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The Solicitation, # FA2521-04-T-0507, is issued as a Request for Quotation. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 5063, a business size of 100 employees and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 423610. GSA Schedule holders for this item/service are encouraged to provide us with their GSA Schedule number. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Vendors are encouraged to provide FOB Destination pricing. The government prefers FOB Destination pricing for commercial acquisition. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 22 September 2004 at www.eps.gov. Proposals may be submitted via hard copy, fax (321-494-5136or 321-494-2706), or e-mail.
