- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Contractor shall provide support for rapid prototyping, emulation, and simulation for real-time embedded system development and Hardware-In-the-Loop analysis. The real-time software development environment shall at a minimum provide the following functionality: ? Ability to develop application and simulation software including debug, analysis, and test capabilities. ? Ability to download application software with the real-time embedded rapid prototyping hardware including production quality electronic control units. ? Ability to integrate and execute Matlab-Simulink models developed off line. The software development environment shall integrate with the Matlab-Simulink auto generated software and capable of downloading this software to the hardware-in-the-loop rapid prototyping system as identified below. The hardware-in-the-loop system shall at a minimum provide the following functionality: ? Appropriate chassis to allow the integration of analog, digital, power supply, low/high current, and signal generation input output cards. This chassis shall include a battery pack so the system can be run without vehicle power. ? Additionally, this unit shall also provide the ability to integrate fault logic cards, network cards, and actual production quality electronic control units for the purposes of simulation, emulation, and fault testing. The vendor shall provide the embe dded controller board (hardware) which can be e.g. MPC5xx series based. ? Fault logic and appropriate load adaption module and circuitry to emulate the actual system hardware. This hardware shall be external or integrated with the chassis to support testing and verification of the system components. . The above system shall be based on off-the-shelf item solutions. . The supplier with the most flexible and user-friendly capability within the available contract value will be desirable. . Additional information provided at the end of this document to supplement the above. In addition to what has been indicated above, as a long term objective, an example system could possibly have the following capabilities. The list below is an example and is subject to change depending on the needs. This system shall provide the ability to simulate, emulate, and control component hardware for the following components and respective signals: The hardware-in-the-loop system equipment shall support the following quantity of units and signals but also pr ovide the ability to add signals as necessary. Alternator Quantity 1 unit Rectifier Quantity 1 unit Battery Quantity 1 unit Fuel Cell Quantity 1 unit Engine Controller Quantity 1 unit System Controller Quantity 1 unit Switching Module Controller Quantity 1 unit 8 Discrete Input Signals (each unit) 8 Analog Input Signals (each unit) 8 Discrete Output Signals (each unit) 8 Analog Output Signals (each unit) Switching Load Module Quantity 4 units (100 amps per channel) 8 Discrete Input Signal (each unit) 32 Analog Input Signals (each unit) 8 Discrete Output Signal (each unit) 32 Analog Output Signals (each unit) Additionally, the real-time software development environment and hardware-in-the-loop system shall minimally support the following functionality: The quantity of components (boards) will be determined from the analysis of the number of component units and signals previously specified. 1.
