46--SOLE SOURCE ANNOUNCEMENT Procurement Wastewater Treatment Plant Equipment NAICS 423440 The National Park Service contemplates issuing a sole source purchase order for the Waste Water Treatment Plant equipment at Grand Canyon National Park. This notice of intent is not a Request For Quotation. However, interested firms or persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received within 14 days after publication of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This acquisition is for equipment ordered by the subcontractor performing work for the general contractor. The general contractor was terminated for default. The National Park Service intends to contract directly with the subcontractor that is in possession of the equipment. Contractors wishing to submit proposals need to be aware that the wastewater treatment plant equipment is specialty equipment made for this project and is not off the shelf items. NOTE: SOLE SOURCE Procurement: FAR Part 6.302, 6-302-1 apply. The NAICS classification is 423440. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside.
