Description

THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division (NAVAIR AD), Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for six (6) H598-285 Control Units, (6) H598M-5 Memory Modules, two (2) H597R-85 Memory Module Interfaces with connecting cables, six (6) C17476 Angle of Side Slip (AOSS) vanes (P/N 300577), six (6) C17477 NZ Accelerometers +/- 10G (P/N SA-102BHC) and forty two (42) BH32640 Engine Throttle Measurement Parts Kit. The Government intends to contract on a sole source basis with Howell Instruments, Inc. These components are part of the Naval Air Sytems Command approved F5 Engine Performance Assurance Monitoring System (EPAMS). Howell Instruments, Inc is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and they hold existing patents and proprietary rights on the internal operating software. Therefore, Howell Instruments is the only known responsible source for the fulfillment of this requirement. This procurement is being processed in accordance with Acquisition of Commercial Items, Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The applicable NAICS code is 334515, size standard of 500. While this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability and submit a proposal for consideration by NAVAIR AD.
