Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FUCOMM42370200 is a Request for Quote (RFQ). This requirement is a SOLE SAOURCE requirement to MOTOROLA FEDERAL TECHNICAL CENTER. The Government has a need for all firmware, software and parts to upgrade 64 MA ANG XTS3000 handheld p ortables, identified by serial number, by providing the software for ASTRO Digital CAI Operation software (Q808) on all 64 units; and DES, DES-XL, DES-OFB Universal Crypto Module and algorithm on 27 of the 64 units. Perform the installation to facilitate ASTRO P25 Digital CAI and DES, DES-XL, DES-OFB and encryption capability. Simultaneously, upgrade the radios to the most current radio service software (RSS) and firmware release. Provide blank Return Material forms to be used by the MA ANG for equipment control and movement purposes. The radio program (codeplug) in the radio unit when received at FTC will be re-inserted into the radio after the necessary upgrades have been completed. In the absence of a codeplug in the radio and if no codeplug is supp lied by the customer, the radio unit will be programmed using a generic template for the specific equipment type. Align equipment to Motorola factory specifications. Provide 2nd-day shipping of equipment from and return to the OTIS ANGB. Coordinate an upgr ade schedule with the MA ANG Mission Systems Branch Chief to facilitate shipment of radios so as to minimize any adverse operational impact on the MA ANG communication mission.
