- The U.S. Department of Energy/NNSA Service Center, Albuquerque, NM intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Iowa State University, Center for Non-Destructive Analysis under FAR Part 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 13 will be used. The award will be for a one-year membership to Iowa State University, Center for Non-Destructive Analysis. This is a notice of intent to award sole source and is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates the firms ability to provide an equivalent as described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond to DE-AP52-04NA25715 by 4:00 p.m. MST, September 24, 2004 to Sandra M. Maes, AD/OBS, by email to smaes@doeal.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed commercial item based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
