Description

The U.S. Department of State, Diplomatic Telecommunications Service - Program Office (DTS-PO), Fairfax, VA, intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Environmental Technology, Inc., 1302 High Street, South Bend, IN 46601-3709. The contract will be for 50 automatic air dehydrators - model # ADH-2A COM. The dehydrators will be used to reduce/eliminate moisture in the transmit waveguide of satellite terminals. This will be a commercial item contract with an estimated value of $150,000.00. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Response(s) must be received by September 24, 2004 to the effect that comparable items are available and are more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these items through the proposed Contractor; otherwise a sole-source award will be made. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and a solicitation is not available. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone requests will be accepted.
