- The purpose of this Sources Sought/Market Research is to solicit industry feedback regarding the proposed acquisition strategy for the following bomb bodies: MK82, P/N: 1380545, NSN: 1325-00-585-3841; BDU-50, P/N: 923AS651, NSN: 1325-01-212-3982; MK8 3, P/N: 2841464, NSN: 1325-00-104-7268; MK84-4, P/N: 923AS105, NSN: 1325-01-008-1335; MK84-6, P/N: 923AS521, NSN: 1325-01-074-5693; BDU-56, P/N: 923AS236, NSN: 1325-01-376-4400; BLU-109 Empty Case, P/N: 8463170-110, NSN: 1325-01-379-8019; and the CNU-417 C ontainer, P/N: 8463244, NSN: 8140-01-252-7060. The suggested acquisition strategy is to restrict to US and Canada and combine all bomb bodies on one solicitation for fiscal year (FY) 2006. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal (RFP) with a Base year (initial quantity) and four (4) option years thereafter, FY07, FY08, FY09, FY10. Offers will be on an all or none basis; proposals must include an offer for all bomb body configurations included in the solicitation for the offer to be considered. Howe ver, the government reserves the right to make any combination of awards that are considered in the best interest of the government (see website listed below for more detail). The resulting contract(s) will be Firm Fixed Price. Parties interested in resp onding to a solicitation for the MK82, BDU-50, MK83, MK84-4, MK84-6, BDU-56, the BLU-109 Empty Case, and the CNU-417 Container are invited to indicate their interest by submitting a market survey questionnaire, as well as comments, questions, or objections to the proposed acquisition strategy which is located at the website listed below. Information must be submitted to: HQ, AFSC, ATTN: AMSFS-CCA-M, 1 Rock Island, IL 61299-6500. Please respond no later than 12 Oct 2004 and identify Bomb Bodies Sources So ught/Market Research as the subject of your response. Your responses can be hard copy mail, or provided on CD/Disk. This is a market survey for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The information you provide will only be utilized in the development of the acquisition approach for future requirements. An Industry Day (pre-solicitation conference) is planned for 28 October 2004 at HQ, AFSC, Rock Island, IL. An announcement will be posted with instructions regarding Industry Day on the website listed below on or before 12 October 2004.
