Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items or services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) No. E0400104. The solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The Standard Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 532299. The FDA intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Colonial Parking, 409 Third Street, SW, Washington, DC 20024 for a continuation of parking services for employees located at 409 Third Street, SW, Washington, DC. The Food and Drug Administration intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Colonial Parking for the rental of parking spaces for the FDA Commissioner?s satellite office at the Washington Office Center. It requires twenty (20) parking spaces for use by the FDA Commissioner and his executive staff located at 409 Third Street, SW, Washington, DC for the period beginning October 28, 2004 through October 27, 2005. Colonial Parking is the only company that manages a parking facility in the 409 Third Street SW complex. All responsible sources may submit a quotation via fax to (301) 827-7106, which shall be considered by the agency. FDA reserves the right to award on a sole source basis. All questions should be submitted in writing by fax. The FDA intends to make an award immediately after the response date of this notice. The following FAR clauses shall apply to the solicitation: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications; 52.214-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; and 52.232-33 Electronic Funds Transfers. All responsible sources that can provide and meet the above requirements shall submit written quotations by the due date referenced above. Sources with the capability of performing these services must submit descriptive literature which fully demonstrates their capabilities.
