Description

The VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Omaha Division is seeking sources to provide virtual Pharmacist services. The requirement is to provide computer accessed Pharmacist services for inpatient services only and would be for specific blocks of time during the evening/night hours, weekends and holidays. Provider would need to be able to check pending requests at a minimum of every 30 minutes, access patient records, make appropriate recommendations and/or approve the request for medication. Provider would have to have on staff licensed Pharmacists and would have to complete all necessary security clearances in order to obtain VPN connections with the appropriate VA computer systems. Companies who feel they can provide this type of service may contact the Contracting Officer via e-mail at Brenda.birks@med.va.gov no later than October 8, 2004. Please no phone calls at this stage. The VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Omaha Division, intends to contract for these services in the near future but is currently at the informational stages.
