Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO), Veterans Health Administration (VAH) will be conducting a full and open competition for the award of a contract for Utilization Review (UR) criteria. The contractor shall provide licensing agreements and utilization review criteria sets to use in assessing medical necessity and appropriateness of services. The UR criteria available must address the full continuum of clinical services, spanning across inpatient, outpatient and specialty services (e.g., surgery, imaging, behavioral health, etc.) The UR criteria must be available in both print and automated format. In addition, must provide education and training to ensure that utilization reviewers understand the criteria and how to use it. The solicitation issue date will be on or about October 5, 2004, with proposals due on or about October 29, 2004, by 2:00 p.m. EST. No telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. Please reference RFP 101-03-05 on all requests, and the NAICS Code is 926150.
