It is anticipated that a cost plus fixed fee contract for the FY 04 FY 05 period of performance will be awarded to satisfy this requirement. The number of aircrafts inducted will depend upon the availability of capacity at current reset sites and the reset schedule. Army Fleet Support, based at Fort Rucker, is the only known source a t this time with the tools and test equipment, readily available, for reset, with an immediate ability to accommodate any overflow of aircrafts from existing OLRs and DOL sites and meet existing reset schedules. The time required for obtaining tools and t est equipment from a new supplier is such that award and STIR cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms that have the facilities, tools and test equipment to perform the services described above are encouraged to identify themselves. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of the request for quotation (RFQ). However, the RFQ will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign firms are reminded that all RFQs must b e processed through their respective embassies.
