- A-76 PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT - The United States Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a solicitation for Security Assistants in the Washington DC facility. The function of the Security Assistants will involve the screening of individuals as they enter and exit the facility. The successful offeror shall provide the necessary level of supervision and staffing of Security Assistants in order to perform the required service in the most cost-effective, timely, and professional manner. This service is currently performed by Government personnel. This procurement will be conducted in accordance with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76 for 9.0 full time equivalent positions. The Competitive Sourcing Official (CSO) is Mr. Thomas Ferguson, the Agency Tender Official is Mr. David Lindsey, and the Contracting Officer is Ms Jennifer Sellers. COMPETITION IS LIMITED TO FIRMS UNDER GENERAL SERVICE ADMINISTRATION (GSA) FEDERAL SUPPLY SCHEDULE 84, SIN 246-54, GUARD SERVICE, IN THE FOLLOWING SOCIO-ECONOMIC CATEGORIES: 1) WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES, 2) SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN BUSINESSES AND 3) SMALL DISADVANTAGE BUSINESSES. The BEP anticipates a firm-fixed-price award with a base period of one (1) year with four (4) one- year option periods. The Government will not award a contract if it is determined that continued Government performance is more advantageous. The solicitation will be issued in http://www.Fedbizopps.gov. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES IN THE ABOVE SOCIO-ECONOMIC CATEGORIES UNDER GSA SCHEDULE 84, SIN 246-54 ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE ON THIS SOLICITATION. This announcement serves as the official start date for this streamlined competition. The anticipated end-date of this competition is December 23, 2004.
