The U.S. Agency for International Development in Egypt is contemplating the award of a contract on a cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) completion basis for Management Services for USAID/Egypt. The RFP will be available o/a October 01, 2004, and the RFP shall state when proposals are due. The contract will be awarded initially for two (2) years with three one year renewable options subject to availability of funds, satisfactory performance and approval by USAID/Egypt. The effective date of the contract will be July 1, 2005, and the contract will be incrementally funded. Because the contract will be funded from Operational Expense funds, either a USA (000) or Egyptian firm (935) can submit a proposal, as per FAR 25.302(b)(8). The RFP will provide detailed information on the current management services activities. The proposed contract is for a package of management services in accordance with ADS 500 and other applicable USAID regulations. The proposed contract shall provide maintenance services for the Mission's residential units and the USAID/Egypt office facilities, computer ?help desk? support for Mission automated data and telecommunications systems, on-site reception and duplication services, records storage and disposal services, and expendable property management services. About 95% of the work is in the Maadi suburb of Cairo, with about 5% in the Alexandria area. Generally, the proposed contract is to provide for supervision, labor, tools, equipment, administrative support, transportation and all other services needed to provide the services noted above. The Contractor will be responsible for providing record keeping support for the management and accountability for all USAID/Egypt owned supplies and equipment procured in connection with these services.
