- Description
- This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The Government intends to award a 5 year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Firm Fixed Price contract for Generator - Alternators, NSN: 6115-01-435-4415, which will be used to power an ele ctric arc weld system. It will be mounted inside the engine compartment of a Shop Equipment, Contact Maintenance (SECM) vehicle. The generator - alternator may be exposed to wind-blown rain when the vehicle hood is open. The generator - alternator will be operated primarily (but not exclusively) while the vehicle is parked, with the engine running. The following salient characteristics apply: 1. Overall Width is 6.31 Inches, with the exception of the mounting surface. It shall contain 2 mounting holes, 8.12 inches apart at the center. 2. Output is 170 Amp. 3. The generator - alternator should have a continuous duty cycle. The maximum quantity will be 750 each. The minimum guaranteed quantity is 40 each. All quantities will be delivered to New Cumberland, PA. FOB Destination. Inspection and acceptance will be at Source. Estimated solicitation release date is 12 Oct ober 2004. Caution: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested part ies to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendment and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal non-re sponsive and result in rejection of your proposal.
