- This modification to synopsis 0010105949 changes the intended procurement from sole source to full and open competion. The government's requirements are listed in the paragraph below. The response date is now 30 September 2004 at 12:00. Anticipated award date is 30 September 2004. All other terms of the synopsis remain the same. **************************************************************** This synopsis provides notice of the Government?s intent to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit a purchase order on a sole source basis with Aberdeen LLC, located at 9130 Norwalk Blvd, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670-2534, for the item listed below. This action is under the authority of FAR Part 13.5. The item is a commercial item. The contract line item number and description is: **CLIN 0001 Stirling HUMV System: (1) Super X5DEI-GG ServerWorks GC-LE Dual Xeon, (2) Intel Xeon 2.4 GHz 533FSB 512K Cache, (2) 1GB Corsair Low Profile Reg ECC DDR SDRAM, (4) Seagate 80GB 8.5ms 7200rpm SATA/150 8MB, (1) Seagate Tapestor TR5 Internal Atapi, (1) Adaptec 2410SA 4-port Serial ATA RAID Card, (1) 2U RS2100 4xSATA Drive Rack with 500W Redun, (1) Combo Slim DVD-ROM/Floppy Disk Drive (5.25HH Unit), (1) PCI short riser card 64-bit 5.0V for 2U Rack, (2) P4 Xeon (Fan-042) Active Heat Sink with Side Fan, (1) Assembly and testing, 5-year warranty on parts and labor. Required dimensions are: 24 inch depth X 19 inch width X 2RU. (Quantity 6 EA).*** The item will be used to support the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS) and Joint Mobile Integrated Communications System II (JMICS) Project. Aberdeen LLC is the only known firm that manufactures a server whose configuration meets form, fit, and function requirements of the current system design. Award is expected 3 September 2004. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the Government will consider all information received by 2 September 2004 1530EST. A determination by the government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government will not pay for any information received.
