- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure on a sole-source basis from Marconi Communications Federal, Inc., 5457 Twin Knolls Rd., Suite 101, Columbia, MD 21045, hardware/software support to critical XDT programs. Marconi is the developer, designer, and manufacturer of the software and hardware parts which are proprietary. They can provide current updates and effective software support, which is not available from any other vendor. The North American Industry Cl! assification System code is 541519. The contract shall be a firm fixed priced contract. FOB Destination, Dahlgren, VA shall apply. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO ISSUE A SEPARATE REQUEST FOR QUOTE, AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFY IN THIS NOTICE. The Request for Quotation Number is N00178-05-Q-1011. Questions concerning this synopsis should reference Request for Quotation number N00178-05-Q-1011 and be sent to XDS11@nswc.navy.mil, fax 540-653-7088 or call 540-653-7478 and indicate their interest and capability to receive a list of the equipment. Point of Contact is XDS110. This procurement is DO priority rated. This closing date is due 30 September 2004 no later than 2:00 p.m. (local NSWCDD time) to: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, ATTN XDS110, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Building 183, First Floor, Room 102, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100 and anticipated award by 1 October 2004. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Divis! ion has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition arena; therefore, this synopsis/solicitation with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD web site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Quoters may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/ . Please note that defense payment offices may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor's EFT information contained in the CCR database.
