- The U S Environmental Protection Agency [U S EPA], National Environmental Research Laboratory in Las Vegas, Nevada, intends to award a fixed-price Purchase Order using Federal Acquisition Regulation [FAR] Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial Items and FAR 52.214-4 Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. The Government will award a Purchase Order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation provisions, will be the lowest priced/technically acceptable. The purpose of this acquisition is to purchase a Peltier-cooled sample tray with temperature range control of 4? C - 70? C. Unit must be compatible with the Gerstel MPS2 autosampler. Our existing 98-place sample tray for 2 mL vials must fit into this unit without altering its design. Software to run the unit must be included. Installation and shopping costs shall be included in the total cost. Vendor must supply Federal Tax Identification number, Dun and Bradstreet number, and Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for award. The NAICS code for this procurement is 423490. Any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA/s requirement stated herein may submit a response, which if received by October 14, 2004, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. The estimated magnitude of this procurement is less than $25,000.
