*****SOLICITATION HDEC02-04-R-0007 (POSTED ON 07/08/2004) HAS BEEN CHANGED TO HDEC02-05-R-0002.***** Contractor is to furnish primal, smoked and case ready pork for commissaries located in the Eastern Region for Defense Commissary Agency. The Eastern Region, as covered by this solicitation, includes the following states: Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. For the purpose of this solicitation, the commissaries in this region are grouped geographically into three groups that will be specified in the solicitation. The total estimated annual quantity for this requirement is 9,973,430 pounds of primal, smoked and case ready pork. The required delivery is 7 days from the order date. A Firm Fixed Price Requirements Type contract is contemplated. The period of performance shall be for one year from the date of award plus two one-year option periods. The SIC code is 2011 and the NAICS code is 311611 with a size standard of 500 employees. The Request for Proposal will be released on or about July 28, 2004. RFP will be issued as unrestricted. Prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to contract award. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the Agency.*****
