Description

CONTRACTORS NOTE: SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS HAVE BEEN UPLOADED. PLEASE CONTACT PORT ENGINEER AT 843-297-3426 TO OBTAIN A COPY OF THE CD FOR ADDITIONAL DRAWINGS. IF UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS NOTIFIY PORT ENGINEER FOR ENTIRE PACKAGE. Dockside Repairs NOAA Ship Nancy Foster to be performed at the Pier "Papa" at the former Charleston Naval Station, on Hobson Avenue. This is the Coast Guard Pier, located near NOAA's Pier "Romeo". Performance period to commence on or about November 15, 2004, and shall be completed on or before January 7, 2004, (53 calendar days). Basic contract items are Evap Circ Heater Installation, Piping Renewals and Modifications, Anchor Renewal, Mast Mods, Insulation, Misc. Steel Repairs, Bridge HVAC Modification, Sanitary Water Pressure Set Renewal, Uncontaminated SW System Installation and Option Items, Wet Lab Decking Installation and Mess Decking Renewal. NOAA Ship Nancy Foster will be available for inspection October 18, 2004 at Pier "Papa", a former Charleston Naval Base. Appointments and arrangements for inspections can be made by contacting the COTR at (843) 297-3426. Characteristics of the NOAA Ship Nancy Foster: Length Overall - 186 ft.- 6 in., Length Between Perpendiculars: 176 ft. - 7 in., Beam (Molded) - 40 ft. - 0 in., Depth Molded, to Main Deck: 16 ft. - 0 in., Draft, Design: 10 ft. - 6 in., Displacement (FL) - 1,300 Tons. This is a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible small business sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Copies of the solicitation will only be available via this website. All interested small businesses shall download the solicitation, drawings and specifications after October 4, 2004.
