Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Healthcare Practitioners for the Federal Correctional Institution/Federal Prison Camp in Edgefield South Carolina. However, the Government reserves the right to make multiple awards if it is determined to be in the best interest of the Government. Services will be performed on individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The contract shall consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The estimated Effective Date of Award is February 1, 2005. The estimated quantities for the base period and each option period are as follows: Dental Assistant - 1500 Sessions - A session equals 1 hour; Dental Hygienist - 250 Sessions - A session equals 6 hours; Pharmacy Technician - 250 Sessions - A session equals 6 hours. The solicitation will be made available on or about October 18, 2004 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is November 16, 2004. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered.
