Description

The U.S. Department of State, Regional Procurement Support Office and the U.S. Embassy, Bogot? are seeking qualified offerors for the construction of several facilities in Tolemaida, Colombia. The project will include approximately 330 square meters of classroom construction, 290 square meters of office construction, and construction of a warehouse approximately 380 square meters in size. In addition to the facilities, the project will include approximately 4,703 square meters of new roads and sidewalk area, and some work will be required in a common green area measuring approximately 1,324 square meters. Construction requirements will include air conditioning, a communications system, and a fire alarm system. The project also entails site preparation and civil works to accommodate site utilities, storm drainage and sewage. The solicitation is planned for release to qualified offerors in October 2004, with award of a contract anticipated in December 2004. It is anticipated that construction will start as soon as possible after contract award, with a performance period of approximately one hundred sixty (160) calendar days from contract execution to substantial completion. The resulting contract type shall be firm-fixed price, and the estimated value of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000 (U.S.).
