- Description
- The Air Mobility Command (AMC) Contracting Flight anticipates issuance of a solicitation on a full and open competitive basis for C-20H Gulfstream IV (G-IV) Pilot and Flight Engineer Training. This requirement is for Initial Academic and Simulator Training and Recurrent Academic and Simulator Training for pilots and flight engineers of the C-20H (G-IV) aircraft. The required training services are for an estimated 4 pilots and 2 flight engineers requiring the Initial Pilot/Flight Engineer Training class per year; 12 pilots and 6 flight engineers for the Recurrent Pilot/Flight Engineer Training class per year, 12 pilots and 6 flight engineers for Pilot/Flight Engineer Proficiency Training (Pro Sim) class per year, 2 classes per year for 3-Day Senior Officer Training, 1 class for 2-Day Senior Officer Training, 4 flight engineers per year for Maintenance Initial Training class, and 6 flight engineers per year for Maintenance Update Training class. In addition, there will be an estimated 4 hours of Supplementary Simulator Training required per year. Initial training shall be to the standard that the pilots may receive an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Rating/Type Certification (as applicable). As part of the initial training, all pilots meeting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) prerequisites shall be offered the opportunity to receive an ATP/Type Certification (as applicable). The individual student is responsible for FAA prerequisites. If the ATP option is not utilized, simulator time scheduled for FAA evaluation shall be devoted to proficiency maneuvers. The training class will normally consist of 2 pilots and 1 (2 allowed) flight engineer per class. The resultant contract will be a requirements contract commencing on 1 October 2004 with four (4) one (1) year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611512. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. Anticipated issuance date of solicitation is on or about 11 June 2004. No hardcopies of this solicitation will be issued.
