DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this Sources Sought/Market Research is to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing the MK4 MOD 3 Signal Cartridge. FedBizOpps Note Number 8 applies. The MK 4 MOD 3 is used with MK 7 6, BDU-48, BDU-33 small size practice bombs, Laser Guided Training Round, and the MK 80 Series General Purpose practice bombs equipped with a MK 89 MOD 0 Spotting Charge Adapter. The MK 4 MOD 3 is used for both day and night training scenarios. Additional information regarding the above items can be requested from the above POC. The technical data package (TDP) is classified as DISTRIBUTION D limited distribution. Distribution D means that the TDP cannot be distributed on the Internet. The TDP contains t echnical data whose export is restricted by the Arms Export Control Act, (Title 22, U.S.C. APP 2240, ET SEQ). Violations of these export laws are subject to severe criminal penalties. Disseminate IAW provision of DOD Directive 5230.25. Offerors must be registered with the US/Canada Joint Certification Office to receive a copy of the technical data package (TDP) (see www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/ for instructions and information). After receipt of required certification, request a copy of the Technical Data via e-mail to eischenc@afsc.army.mil. Request must include Cage Code, Company name, address, phone, e-mail address, and point of contact. A respondent to this market survey should be able to show that they have adequate technical capability, manufacturing ca pacity, and certification to receive export-controlled technical data (as applicable). Interested companies who have the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the following information; a brief summary of your company's capabilities, descripti on of facilities, personnel, and related manufacturing experience; estimated minimum and maximum monthly production quantities, estimated prices, and the minimum procurement quantity (MPQ) required for production. If a respondent does not have adequate res ources (technical, manufacturing, export-controlled tech data certification, personnel, etc) available, the respondent must be able to demonstrate his ability to obtain those resources in a timely fashion. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must also meet these criteria.
