- Vessel(s) Required: U.S. OR FOREIGN FLAG self-sustaining RO/RO vessel to move 36 tanks consisting of minimum 25,000 sq ft +/-25% RO/RO cargo capacity with deck strengths capable of supporting vehicles each weighing 64 short tons each. Vessel required to have minimum 70-ton capacity quarter stern ramp or 70-ton capacity slewing stern ramp. Vessel is required to have lashing points and provide all lashing gear. Lashings to be patent lashings. Minimum required speed is 14 knots laden in moderate weather. In accordance with the Cargo Preference Act of 1904 and Section IIIA.3 of the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) (see 69 FEDERAL REGISTER 25166-25168, May 5, 2004), preference will be given to U.S. flag vessels and VISA participants.
