Description
This is a design build project which consists of the removal of 248 existing three and four bedroom residential units in an existing residential development and replacement/construction of such units in a new residential development. New housing unit s are for use by junior NCO personnel and their families. In addition to design and construction of residential units, residential design/ construction includes streets, curb and gutter, driveways, sidewalks, playground, site utilities and landscaping. Eac h housing unit features the following: kitchen with walk-in pantry, separate dining space, general living space, laundry, master suite with walk-in closet/private bath, bedrooms with private closets and shared bath, coat closet. linen storage, geothermal h eat pump cooling/heating, natural gas water heating, interior and exterior bulk storage areas, safe room, 6 exterior wall construction and a 2 vehicle garage. Units are in a duplex arrangement and may be designed and constructed using wood, steel or a com bination and may be constructed using modular or conventional methods. Site utilities include domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, underground electric power, telephone and cable television/satellite service. The estimated cost range of this projec t is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about October 29, 2004, and will be provided on compact disk (CD-ROM). THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans, specifications, and plan ho lders lists will not be provided in a printed hard copy format. Registration for plans and specifications MUST BE MADE VIA OUR INTERNET HOME PAGE at www.swt.usace.army.mil; select Contracting; Current Solicitations. No phone calls to order please. All orde r will be mailed via first class mail. Requests for special handling (Fed-X etc.) will not be honored. A preproposal conference and site visit for this project is scheduled for 9 November 2004, at 10:00 a.m., CDST, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The preproposal conference will convene at 10:00 a.m., CDST, in the Conference Room, First Floor, Building 1950 (Depart ment of Public Works), located just north of the intersection of Sheridan Road and Currie Road. Prospective offerors who plan to attend the conference MUST provide, by facsimile, a list of names and titles of representatives, not to exceed three (3) per offeror, who will attend the conference NO LATER THAN ll:00 a.m., 5 November 2004. The list shoul d be transmitted to DANIEL FOYIL, fax number, 918-669-7495. FOREIGN NATIONALS WILL REQUIRE PRIOR CLEARANCE.
