The objective of this program is to reduce the cost of the F-35 infrared (IR) detector assemblies for the Electro-Optical Targeting System (EOTS) and the Electro-Optical Distributed Aperture System (EO DAS) by more than 50 percent through manufacturing technology improvements. The contractors will initially be awarded contracts for a combined total of $875K with the possibility of the remaining program budget being added by spiral execution depending on mission needs. The anticipated combined total funding for this effort is approximately $3.6M. Foreign participation is excluded at the prime contractor level.
